Gite Lavande (Lavender) is named after the lavender that grows everywhere throughout the South of France (not just Provence!). In the morning and evening you will almost certainly detect its fragrance in the air in the garden. Lavande has three bedrooms, a mezzanine sleeping area and two bathrooms and can comfortably accommodate 6-8 people.
Access to the gite is via the large decked loggia/terrace area that overlooks the walled gardens. The terrace is set up for outdoor dining and has a sturdy table and chairs and gas barbeque.
From the terrace you enter the apartment via French windows into the spacious (32m²) lounge, dining and kitchen area, which has wooden floors and a high vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. There is a large seating area with a flat screen TV, DVD and MP3/iPod docking player; there is also an indoor dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
From the lounge is a lobby area that leads to:
Bedroom one, which has a king-size bed, dressing table and wardrobe; large French windows provide access directly onto the private terrace.
Bedroom two has a king-size bed (the room can be made up with 2 single beds, if preferred), dressing table and wardrobe. There is a particularly lovely view of the village, the church and beyond to the Montagne Noir (Black Mountains) from this room.
The main bathroom is adjacent to bedroom one and two, and has a large corner bath, powerful shower, WC and basin.
Stairs lead from the lounge to a large galleried landing, which overlooks the living area. There is a day bed which can be used for general relaxation, and which can also convert into a king-size bed. The mezzanine can also be screened off from the main living area to provide privacy, when required.
